Learning all about how the emergency services can help us

Over the last two weeks our children have enjoyed a great opportunity to learn all about the special job that the emergency services do for us. We had great fun learning all about fire safety with the fire service team from Tadcaster Fires Station, especially when we got to use the fire hoses!

We also learnt such a lot about the important job that the police do with PCSO Hannah Gaskell and PC Liz Hartley. The younger children had great fun climbing into the police van and hearing the sirens. Children in Key Stage Two learnt lots about what the role of a Police Officer was and certainly enjoyed trying on the uniform and the handcuffs!
