Safer Internet Day – Tuesday 11th February

As a school we place great importance on keeping our children safe and as part of this take our responsibility in educating our pupils about all aspects of internet safety very seriously. Next Tuesday is ‘Safer Internet Day’ and throughout the week of Monday 10th to Friday 14th February we will have a focus on ‘Keeping Safe on the Internet’. During the week we will be educating our children at an age appropriate level about how to keep safe online.

On Tuesday 11th February we would like to invite parents and carers into school to find out more about how we can help to keep our children safe when using computers and other technology. Mr Ramzan, our Computing Lead, will be hosting two parent workshops at 3.00pm and 5.30pm about internet safety and the dangers of children accessing online websites and other apps. As part of these workshops, both Mr Ramzan and Miss Towler will be available to answer questions and to share information about how you as parents and carers can support your children further. We will also share some of the aspects that will be covered in your child’s learning during the week so you are prepared for any questions they might have.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday at either 3.00pm or 5.30pm. Please complete the tear off slip attached to the letter that came out this week to let us know that you are joining us next Tuesday.
